FAQ

1. What is the structure of the program? Each day, children will enjoy a balanced mix of activities, including sports, active play, art, and homework help. They will also take part in a featured activity, such as cooking, yoga, or martial arts, ensuring a fun and engaging experience.

2. What if my child isn't interested in the featured activity? While there will be one primary special activity offered each day, there will also be additional choices available. This way, if your child isn't interested in the main activity, they will have other options to engage in.

3. What schools is transportation provided from? Transportation is provided from all schools in Scotch Plains, Westfield, Garwood, and Cranford. Registration must be completed by 4 weeks before your intended start date in order to ensure availability. Transportation mode and route will be contingent on the number of children registered from each school. 

4. What are the dates of CKids After-School? CKids After-School begins at the start of the school year and follows the local public school calendars. If any schools are open, we will be open and provide transportation after school. The program will be closed on Jewish holidays. A complete calendar will be provided.

5. Do I have to commit to the entire school year? Registration is for the full school year. However, if you would like to start mid-year, please reach out, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

6. What happens if we need to change the day after registering?  We will always do our best to accommodate changes. As long as space and staffing allows, you can change the day after registering.

7. If I register now and then realize before it starts that it doesn't work for us, will I get a refund? Everything aside from the $50 registration fee is fully refundable until Auguest 1st.  After August 1st, there is a one-month deposit which will be forfeited upon cancellation.

8. What makes your program different from other after-school programs?

Specialty Activities: Children enjoy a variety of engaging activities, including art, STEAM, sports, yoga, origami, karate, and more.

Homework Help: Dedicated time and support to help children complete their homework.

Jewish Enrichment: Our program integrates Jewish learning and values in a fun and meaningful way.

Kosher Snacks and Dinner: Nutritious kosher snacks and dinner are provided at no extra cost.

Hebrew Learning: Children will learn to read Hebrew and be exposed to conversational Hebrew throughout the program.

No Additional Fees: There are no extra membership fees required.

Scholarships Available: We offer financial assistance to help make the program accessible to all families.
